Continuous rain, heavy at times, forced us to abandon the planned idyllic assembly area under shady trees and use a rather crowded covered area. We also decided to put the maps into plastic bags (compromising legibility) which unfortunately resulted in one competitor getting the wrong map. However, there was a happy ending as he not only finished a much more difficult course but went on to run the correct course and win! Winning times were slightly longer than expected, probably mostly due to the weather. Thanks to a small, hardy band of organisers on the day, especially Steve Morris who helped hang and collect controls, Neil and Mark on the start, Reid, Fiona and Donnita on rego and the unflappable Jim Dougall on results.
