What a great success, thanks to all my kind helpers from Enoggeroos. The weather turned out to be nice & sunny coaxing many people out into the great outdoors and my BCC orienteering event. Thanks to BCC, I was able to display the ‘Orienteering HERE’ banner for two weeks leading up to the event, as well as some strategic placement of laminated flyers (around the park). This pre-event advertising, as well as the location of the assembly area (out in the open, where all passers by could see us), we got great exposure. And, I was also able to get (a spare of the moment opportunity) spot on radio ABC talking about my favourite park - and my upcoming orienteering event. In total, we had 102 participants – mostly newcomers, consisting of many families, who went in groups. The courses were very popular and the day was enjoyed by all.
