A beautiful cool morning for an event with a twist. It was set up as a scatter course with puzzle pieces at 6 of the controls. Competitors had to simply collect the 6 puzzle pieces and then race back and put the puzzle together. But which 6 controls? The wind added an extra challenge when it blew one of the sets of puzzle pieces inside the bin they were hanging on! One very astute competitor saw the string and retrieved the puzzle pieces, while others raced on without seeing it and returned with only 5 pieces despite having visited all the controls. You just can’t compete with Mother Nature. Many thanks to Wim, Rob, Dominic and Oliver for their help setting up and to the de Jongs and the Brennans for collecting controls.
